Since Grayson has been eating a lot more solids nowdays (especially snacks such as cookies, cheerios, and crackers), Tish and I decided to get him of these infamous "Snack-trap". We haver known about this clever invention for a while, and gotten many of our friends with toddlers as a gift. Here is the website for the product: http://www.snacktrap.com/Categories.bok?category=Made+For+Mom%3AThe+Snack-Trap

The idea of the "Snack-trap" is pretty much what he names says. It is supposed to "trap" the snacks. It has a soft plastic top with slots cut in a star shape, which allows a toddler's hand to reach in, but prevent the snacks from spilling. We believe that it is great, especially for when we are on the go.
So today was the day we made a special trip to Baby R us just for this little gadget. We got there 3 minutes before closing and got to park right at the front spots that are reserved only for expecting moms! :-)
On the ride home, we decided to give the "Snack-trap" a try. We poured some banana puffs into the container and handed it to Grayson. He looked at it strangely at first but soon figured out its purpose. Tish and I were proud parents to witness that. We were proud that as parents we made a good investment on a product we believe in, and it actually works! We were also proud of the fact that Grayson figured out how to properly use it in seconds! However, in minutes, Grayson learned to use it improperly.... he would turn the container upside-down, and pry the slotted lid open with his fingers so that all of the snacks would dumb! Another thing we would also do is to grab the puffs with the soft rubber lid and crush them to dust. This caused puff crumbles to go everywhere! LOL!
Our little guys has outsmarted the ingeneous "Snack-trap"! G continues to amuse us and make us laugh. We love him so much.
