Going to the doc

On day 2 from being released from the hospital, we were due to the pediatrician for a check up. It was bascially to make sure that everything was ok once he has been home. Working under only a few hours of sleep, we manage to get him ready and us there just on time.

Here is a pic of mommy attempt to dress "little" Grayson before our first "outing". He was fairly cooperative for a new born (mom said he was GREAT actually)
.
It was the first time for us to bring Grayson on a trip other than the ride back from the hospital. Fortunately, the doc's office is real close so it did not take long to get there. The pediatician's office was an old school office, wood paneling and low built-in benches/couches for kids to hang out on. Carrying the car seat/carrier was quite interesting. It is not light by itself but with a 10 pound munckin in it, it is different story. I think I was pretty noticable of being a new dad by the way I was carrying it. And the fact that we brough a SLR to a doc checkup didn't help neither. We were a lil nervous at first because when we got there, there were a few sick kids in the waiting area. Good thing they got everyone called in pretty quick.

Grayson "vegged-out" on the examining table
.
Believe it or not, G-man was a good sport about being at the doctor. Other than about 40 seconds while he was naked, he didn't fuss much at all. Our pedistrician examined him thoroughly, and then measure his weight. Grayson weighed 9 pounds 15 ounce, almost back to his original weight (typically drop after first birth) and the doc was glad to see that. On top of that, Grayson checked out with flying colors. We will be due back 2 weeks from his birthday for his next check up. Afterwards, we made a quick stop library for some baby books. Tish and Gray stayed in the car. Grayson again was a good boy in the car seat, so mom took lots of pictures of him which are included in his birth announcement.
