Today our boy received visitors at home for the very first time. My Uncle Steve & Aunt Diana came to visit us from Houston. They have planned to come celebrate Grayson's "moon yuet" (first month on Earth) since day one. We were glad to see them come, but didn't know what to expect from Gray. Overall, I'd say he did pretty well. Of course, my aunt/uncle were both amazed by his size and weight, especially since they are grandparents to an older newborn who is much lighter and shorter!

They were very generous to bring us an early Easter basket, along with other gifts (see basket full of goodies in pic below). Among the goodies, there was a pair of toddler pants. Aunt D told us that it is a pair of LONG and BIG pants ("FU" in Chinese) which represents wish of wealth and longevity, when given to a new born at "moon yuet".

Aunt D and Uncle Steve reminisced on how big a boy I was at young age. For years they teased about having sore arms after a day of babysitting me. They brought a photo of my Aunt D about 30 years ago, holding me in her arms during my "moon yuet". Talking about nostalgia! They wanted to compare Grayson now to me at the same age. We thought it was extra funny when they tried to have Aunt D pose the same way while holding Grayson, as she did 30 years ago holding me... which inspired me to create the image below...

Pretty cool huh? So his first "visiting" experiment went quite well. We are looking to have a few more in the next coming weeks. Grandpa Richard will be arriving on the 23rd, and Grandpa Roy will be here in mid-April. Uncle Rick also plan to stop by, in one of his Dallas business trips in the near future as well. I hope they come prepared with strong biceps!
