Prior to having Grayson, Tish and I have always wanted to go for best of the best when it comes to our baby (well, best of the best within reason). Hearing horror stories from friends and other moms on using cheap/off brand diapers reinforced that idea even more. Grayson has used Pampers ever since he was born. We were told that it is the name brand for a reason, never leaks, fits great, etc. All hold to be true so far. One thing I never knew about Pampers (or whoever invented it) was how genius diaper size numbering system is...
We simply go up a number in size each month GKT gets older... how incredibly easy is that!
Size 1 for 1 month, size 2 for month #2, and so on... freaking rocket scientists these Pampers folks are. Grayson is approahing 5 months old and he is quickly growing out of his number 4's.
People who have had babies already will probably chuckle after reading this. Since diaper sizing doesn't really work that way... see below.

As you can see... the numbers collate with the baby's weight, not age. Since all babies have different growth at different stages in their lives (GKT being the perfect example), there is no way the sizing system can be based on age. If you notice, number 4's are for 22-37 pounds, and no GKT has not reached 37 lbs... he is about 22-23 we think. However, since he is a big guy, the diapers are starting to fit snug at certain areas. For those of you who do not know, a typical baby does not even get into number 5's until he/she is 1 year old (we think, since Grayson IS wearing 18-24 mo. clothing)!
Anyway, just thought about this other and wanted to share this piece of our lives with all.

What a big guy little Grayson is getting to be! He has almost caught up with Rachel who will be 3 in September! Rachel wears 18-24 month sized clothes and size 4 diapers. I think Grayson will probably be quite tall! And of course, he is already so handsome. He'll be quite the heartbreaker some day!
