Christmas

Since we were in the hospital until Christmas day, we decided to postpone celebration until the day after. G is too young to know the difference, which worked out.

Christmas celebration went well. G was excited about all the gifts, and most of them were instant hits. He love his new Crayola easel, mini-powerwheel, smart cell phone, the musical Xmas cards, Mr. Potato head, Hip Hop Dance mat, Hookie Pokie Elmo, just to name a few!

Looking back, G really enjoyed the whole Christmas season. He has been enjoying all the Xmas lights around the neighborhood since Thanksgiving. With limited cash and time, we put up only lights on our bushes and found a light up snowman for cheap. The snowman is very cute but not very big, which was perfect because he is as tall as G! Grayson often asked to go see him outside by saying "man-man". He would shake his hands, touch his top hat, pull on his nose, etc. It is also our nightly ritual to turn on the lights when I got home from work.

G also got real fond of the Christmas tree. He loved examing everyone of the ornaments (from special ones to bulbs). He broke a few bulbs in the begining but was quick to learn not to pull on them. His favorite ornaments were: Boo from Monster's Inc, Snoopy, Elmo of course, A Precious Moments "jack in the box", and the tear shape glass bulbs. Every time he saw the tree, he would say "Twreee, twreee...", then we would go turn it on. Through that, he also learned how to use the button on the power strip!

One thing I cannot forget is his Elmo talking stocking his Mimi got him last year. It sings songs and greet people. G absolutely loves him. As a matter fact, he is still hung up after we packed up all the Christmas deco! It is a great help to us whenever G is not happy about changing his diaper, and that is just about every time.

We had a nice and special Christmas. The best part is we were blessed with Zander. More on his arrival on the next blogs.
