We have another big boy on our hands!

This morning was Zander's first "real" doctor appointment. The last one (when he was a week old) was more of a jaundice check. We were a little nervous because his feeding time landed at exactly his appointment time! We had no choice but to take a hungry baby to the doctor. It worked out fine though. He was very patient (and the doctor was even running late)! But as soon as we left, our baby boy got what he needed and wanted. I sat down in the lobby and fed him there. I didn't want him to have to suffer hunger pains during our ride home.
.
The appointment went great! The end result is: Zander is perfect. :) At birth, he weighed 8 lbs, 9 oz and measured 19.5 inches long. Today, at 2 weeks and 3 days old, he weighed 9 lbs, 11.5 oz and measured 21.5 inches long! He's growing like a weed! Our doctor says Z is gonna be a big boy! :) And he kept complimenting Zander on his beautiful complexion. :)
.
We got the okay to give Zander a dunk (a real bath rather than a sponge bath). His cord has been gone for a week now. It looks great and is mostly healed. I asked about the little red "stamps" (that's what they look like to me) in Z's eyebrows. As I thought, they are considered a birthmark. It is what some call "angel kisses". He said they will most likely disappear by the time Zander is 2 or 3 years old. I don't have a great photo of them. They are hard to capture cause they aren't real dark.
.
Also, he pointed out Zander's "stork bite". It is also a birthmark that will more than likely disappear. They call it a "stork bite" cause it is said to be where the storked carried him. :)

Isn't that sweet?! And like my mom says, "LOOK AT ALL THAT HAIR!" :)
